The Benefits of Indoor Fountains
By admin
Running water has always attracted mankind, ever since our survivalist days up to the present and indoor fountains are no exception to the rule. Not only do they look absolutely majestic–especially some of the large corporate fountains in lobbies across the nation!–but they have a number of mental and physical health benefits that actually make it good for people to be around them as often as possible.
For starters most people know that indoor fountains are wonderful at stress relief and helping to relax even the most anxious individuals. The sound of trickling or bubbling water is cathartic and can really help wipe all of your cares away in an instant. This has a compound effect on all of the people around you, too. The relaxing sound of running water also makes it significantly easier to focus on the work in front of you rather than letting your mind wander to every sound and thought that comes across your mind.
There are also two actual physical benefits of having a good indoor fountain nearby: increasing negative ions in the air around you and increasing humidity as well. Humidity may be miserable on a hot and horrible day, but every other time it can be a great benefit to people with dry skin and colds. When the fountains generate negative ions it is actually helping to filter the air by clinging to dust particles and whatnot, allowing you to breathe cleaner, fresher air. Plus negative ions increase seratonin, the happy drug naturally found in our bodies.
